Jim Corbett Park was established in 1936 with the name Hailey National Park to protect Bengal Tiger. It is the oldest national park where you can see many species of animals and birds which are in danger. Jim Corbett gets its name on the name of a well-known hunter and naturalist. Jim Corbett Park is located in Nainital and Pauri Garhwal district of Uttrakhand State. It is located on the bank of River Ramganaga. The park is divided into four different zones called Bijrani, Dhikala, Jhirna, and Durgadevi Zones. The park is spread in an area of 520 square kilometers.

How to Reach

Jim Corbett Park is situated at a distance of 260 km from Delhi. Ramnagar is a small town near Corbett. You can travel to Ramnagar by Road and by Rail. This city is well connected with other cities like Nainital, Delhi and many more. You can reach by Road because the city has a very good network of roads that connects different cities in India. If you are traveling by Train then Ramnagar is the nearest Railway station to Jim Corbett Park. You can catch a direct train to Ramnagar from Delhi. Park is divided into four Zones and you can visit every zone with some security and guidelines. All zones have different entry gates.

The total area of Park is 520 square kilometers. It is the most loveable tourist spot for wildlife fans. Jeep safari and Elephant safari are the most popular among tourists. You are not allowed to visit the park in your own vehicles. If you are enjoying a Jeep safari then you are not allowed to get down from Jeep after starting the safari.
