What I love about it:

Just a short trek from Vashisht Village, Jogini Waterfall is not just a tranquil place for a picnic or meditation, it is also very sacred in the eyes of the locals. The trek through apple orchards and little villages really enhances the vibes.

4. Soil Village - Digital Detox Destination

Why it’s special:

Soil is an eco-village located just 7 km away from Manali. The homestays in Soil are surrounded by nature and mind-blowing views. There is no mobile network here and that’s why it is the perfect digital detox.

5. Kuthar Fort – History with Views of the Himalayas

Why it’s special:

Although it is technically closer to Solan, rather than the center of Manali, this less famous fort (to the tourists) is blessed with great mountain view, has Mughal-style architecture and is peaceful. Great for day trips from Manali.

6. Choj Village near Kasol - For a Relaxed Atmosphere

Why it’s special:

Choj is not technically part of Manali, but close enough to include in your travel plans! Choj, hidden between cliffs and forests, is a favorite for solo travellers looking for peace and simplicity.
